GRAND RAPIDS — Christian Kennedy had a game to remember on Thursday night.

Kennedy notched five singles and led the Fruitport Trojans to a 10-3 baseball victory over Grand Rapid West Catholic. Kennedy singled in the first, third, fourth, sixth and seventh innings.

West Catholic took a 2-0 lead in the opening inning on a double by Ryer Snow.

Fruitport plated three runs in the third inning and four in the seventh. In the seventh inning, Braxton Ward, Kennedy and Ryan Bosch each drove in runs.

Kennedy started on the mound for the Trojans. The right hander surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings. He had four strikeouts.

Kennedy, Andrew Spyke, Ward, Bosch, and Brady French all had multiple hits for Fruitport Trojans, which had 15 hits.
