Clemence bags two goals in Fremont’s soccer victory over Montague

FREMONT – Mia Clemence scored two goals on Monday and led the Fremont girls’ soccer team to a 3-1 West Michigan Conference victory over Montague.

Both of Clemence’s goals were assisted by Anna Norris. Maddie Mater scored Fremont’s other goal.

Anastasia Trevino netted the Wildcats’ lone goal.

The Packers held a 16-8 shot advantage.

Montague goalkeepers Addison Pranger made 13 saves while Fremont’s Hallie Snyder had seven.

Fremont (11-4-1, 6-2) will be back at home on Wednesday to host Whitehall.

Montague (8-5, 7-2) will travel to Shelby on Wednesday.
