SPRING LAKE — In an OK-Blue baseball battle on Wednesday, the host Spring Lake Lakers and Fruitport Trojans each earned a victory.
 
Fruitport won the first game, 4-1, and the Lakers took the nightcap, 7-2.
 
The first game was a battle of future college pitchers. Fruitport’s Ryan Bosch, a University of Michigan commit, and Spring Lake’s Zane Stahl, a Louisville commit, went at in a pitcher’s duel. In the end, Bosch was the winning pitcher with one hit allowed and 10 strikeouts.
 
Fruitport plated all four of its runs in the top of the sixth inning. The Lakers committed three errors in that pivotal inning.
 
Stahl finished with eight strikeouts and allowed two hits.
 
In the second game, Gerrit Lyyski from Spring Lake allowed one run on three hits and seven strikeouts. Lyyski helped his cause with a three-run homer in the third inning. Zach Schlepp, Derrick Paggeot and Gabe Trask each had two hits for the Lakers.
 
Spring Lake (11-6, 6-5) travels to Fruitport Thursday for a single game at 4:15 p.m.
