Fremont and Newaygo took turns routing one another in a softball doubleheader on Friday.

Fremont won the first game 15-5 while Newaygo turned the tables in the nightcap for a 17-6 rout.

Fremont had 11 hits in the opener, led by Elise Pfeiffer and Rainee Dey-Rayl both with multiple hits.  Pfeiffer and Mckenzie Gugins both had a triple.

Packer errors aided Newaygo in the second game. Savannah Keur and Gugins collected multiple hits for the Packers.  Newaygo out hit Fremont 13-8, but seven errors proved costly for the Packers.
