HAMILTON — The Fruitport Trojans lost a couple of tough games on Tuesday in a baseball doubleheader at Hamilton.

The Trojans fell in the first game, 1-0, when Hamilton plated the winning run in walk-off fashion. Hamilton won the nightcap, 8-4.

In the first game, Ryan Bosch pitched six innings before leaving due to pitch count restrictions. he had nine strikeouts. Jax Flynn came on and took the loss.

In the second game, Trevor Rusnak went five innings and gave up five runs, all in the second inning.

Flynn and Bosch each had two hits. Bosch’s hits were both triples. Cody Nash belted his first home run of the season for Fruitport.

“Our conference pitching is so tough,” Trojan coach Nick Reed said. “We battled and had better approaches today.”
