Grant’s strong hitting leads to doubleheader sweep of Orchard View in baseball

MUSKEGON — The Grant Tigers’ offense was clicking on Thursday in a doubleheader baseball sweep over Orchard View.

The Tigers won the opener, 12-4, and the nightcap, 11-2.

In the opener, Oakley Obenauf had four hits for Grant. That included three doubles and two RBI. Dawson Cook added two hits, one a double. Grant totaled 12 hits.

Emilio Villareal had two hits, one a double, and Noah Smith had a double for OV.

In the nightcap, Obenauf added another three hits and also scored three runs. Chase Geers also had three hits. Cohen Garrod and Mason Woodard had two hits each for  Grant.

Orchard View had five hits in the nightcap.
