HOLTON — The Holton Red Devils scored 26 runs in two games and swept the North Muskegon Norse in a West Michigan Conference softball doubleheader.
Holton won the opener, 13-4, and the nightcap, 13-0.
In the first game, Ryann Robins belted two home runs and knocked in three runs to pace the Red Devils. Grace Thompson had three hits, one a double, and knocked in three runs. Kenzie Green had a triple and a double. Emma Monette and Abbie Fowler each had two hits.
Greene, the winning pitcher, struck out nine in six innings of work.
North Muskegon’s Mattie Houseman had one hit and knocked in two runs for North Muskegon.
In the second game, Greene had four hits, including a home run, and knocked in four runs to lead Holton. Aubrey Goyings added three hits while Robins and Fowler had two hits each. Fowler was the winning pitcher. She allowed one hit.
