HOLTON — The first game was tight, the second game not so much as Holton swept a West Michigan Conference River Division softball doubleheader against visiting Hesperia.

In the opener, Holton scored two runs in the first and two in the second and made it hold up in a 4-1 victory. Holton won the nightcap, 18-0.

In the first game, Abbie Fowler had three singles and winning pitcher Ryann Robin had two hits to lead the Red Devils. Grace Thompson had three RBI.

Ali Townsend had three hits and one RBI for Hesperia.

In the second game, Holton had 13 hits led by Fowler, Greene and Emma Monette with two hits each. Greene and Fowler both had a triple.

Hesperia had one hit in the game.
