PINE RIVER — The Kent City Eagles ventured north on Friday and posted a pair of non-league baseball victories over Leroy-Pine River.

The Eagles won the opener 13-2 and the nightcap, 7-0.

In the first game, Zach Flegel was the winning pitcher. Leading hitters included Troy Atwood, Justin Mack, Derek Rodenburg and Josh Anderson with two hits each. Rodenburg knocked in a pair of runs as did Zane Kik. The Eagles had 11 hits.

In the nightcap, senior Jack Duran was the winning pitcher. He allowed four hits and three walks in four innings of work. He struck out three batters.

Atwood had three hits and two RBI for the Eagles, who had six hits in the game.
