CENTRAL MONTCALM — The Kent City Eagles gained a split of a baseball twinbill on Tuesday against host Central Montcalm.

The Eagles won the opener on the strength of the pitching of Kyler Larson.  The Eagles won, 8-0. However, Central Montcalm came back in the second game and won, 8-7.

Larson fanned 16 batters in seven innings of work in the first game. He allowed four hits and one walk.

Troy Atwood had three hits, including a double, and Webb Longcore had two RBI for Kent City.

In the second game, Atwood was the losing pitcher. He allowed six walks and struck out six.

At the plate, Atwood had two hits along with Justin Mack. Larson had a triple and three RBI.
