REED CITY — Ludington got roughed up a bit in the Reed City Crossroads Softball Tournament on Saturday, losing the first game to Reed City, 12-3, and dropping the second to Pine River, 17-8.

Madelyn Kenyon started in the pitcher’s circle against the host Coyotes and worked 3 1/3 innings before the game was called on the 10-run lead rule.

During that time, Kenyon gave up six hits, seven walks and struck out two.

Rylee Hardenburgh led the way at the plate for the Orioles knocking out a double while Kenyon and Mya Brant each had one hit as well.

The second game was called after five innings because of the time limit.

Jody Meisenheimer pitched a complete game for the Orioles and was touched for 11 hits, walked 10 and struck out five.

Ludington was led by Ayiana Rangel who was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in, followed by Meisenheimer with a 2-for-3 performance with a double and one RBI while Keeley Curtis went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

The Orioles fell to 4-18 and travels to Mason County Central on Monday.
