BENZONIA — Ludington’s girls softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader at Benzie Central on Thursday night, 9-2 and 7-2.

Jody Meisenheimer took the loss in Game 1. She pitched three innings, giving up three hits, three walks and striking out five.

Madelyn Kenyon pitched the remaining two innings, giving up two hits, one walk and striking out two.

Offensively, Ayiana Rangel was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Keeley Curtis was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Brynn Fortner and Taesyah Hendricks each had a hit and an RBI.

Kenyon pitched the complete five innings in the nightcap. She gave up eight hits and four walks. At the plate, Rangel was 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Meisenheimer was 2-for-4 and Kenyon had an RBI.

Ludington (4-16) travels to Reed City on Saturday.
