LUDINGTON — Ludington’s baseball team split a West Michigan Conference Lakes Division doubleheader with visiting Manistee Tuesday, winning the opener 7-2 and losing the second game 10-0.

Nathan Dillehay was the winning pitcher in the first game, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and striking out four.

Dillehay led the Orioles at the plate with two hits, one run scored and one RBI.Evan McCarthy also was 2-for-3 and scored two runs.

Jonny Weinert took the loss in the nightcap, giving up four earned runs and striking out four in four innings.

Adam Workman and Ethan Edmondson each had three hits and drove in two runs to lead the Chippewas, while Eli Workman had two hits and also had two RBI and Devyn Kirchinger had two hits and one RBI.

Jeff Huber followed with two hits.

The Spartans moved to 9-14 overall and 5-7 in the WMC Lakes with a non-conference doubleheader Thursday at Benzie Central.

Manistee is scheduled to host Whitehall in the WMC Lakes next Tuesday.
