WHITEHALL — The Whitehall Vikings’ offense unloaded on the Holton Red Devils on Thursday in a baseball doubleheader.

Whitehall won the opener, 16-1, and the nightcap, 10-0, on a no-hitter by Jack McDowell.

In the opener, five Viking batters knocked in at least two runs. That group was led by Landon Howe who finished with a home run and four RBI. Ryne Christiansen had three RBI. Isaac VanAmberg and Brock Morningstar each knocked in two runs.

Chase Albright had two hits for the Red Devils.

In the nightcap, McDowell was masterful in not allowing a hit. He struck out 10 and walked two in five innings of work.

Christensen had two hits, including a double, and Noah Meinert had two hits and two RBI. McDowell had a double and finished with three RBI.
