MUSKEGON — The Mona Shores Sailors’ bats went silent on Tuesday and the result was two losses to Zeeland East in a league twinbill.

Zeeland East won the opener, 1-0, and the nightcap, 5-0.

In the first game, Sailor Jaxon Huffman suffered a tough loss on the mound. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out six. Six different Sailors had one hit each.

In the second game, Trevor Cunningham allowed two earned runs in seven innings of work. He struck out two.

Mona Shores (17-6, 10-4) mustered just two hits in the nightcap, singles by Zach Keessen and Luke Opfermann.
