Mona Shores falls twice in softball doubleheader against league foe Zeeland East

 

ZEELAND — Mona Shores ran into a hot-hitting Zeeland East softball team on Tuesday and lost both games of a twinbill.

 

Zeeland West won the opener, 16-4, and the nightcap, 18-2.

 

Grace Michelli, the losing pitcher in Game 1, belted a home run for the Sailors. Brooklyn Graham had two hits and scored two runs.

 

In the second game, Maggie McCarthy and Kyli Geoghan each had one hit in the three-inning game. Michelli was tagged with the loss.
