MUSKEGON — It started about a month ago and finally ended on Thursday.

The OK-Green golf jamboree that was postponed due to lightning last month, resumed on Thursday at Lincoln Golf Club.

Mona Shores, led by medalist Nico Taylor, shot a 156, which was 15 strokes better than runner-up Zeeland West.

Taylor shot a 37 while teammate James Ackley had a 38 and Lucas Dethloff had a 40. Thomas Stewart had a 41 and finished tied for sixth and Oliver MacDonald shot a 44.

Besides Mona Shores at the top of the leaderboard, Zeeland West finished at 171 while Reeths-Puffer played much improved from the earlier action and finished third at 180. Zeeland East had a 183, Holland 191 and Wyoming 199.

“We did not play well that first night a month ago,” Reeths-Puffer coach Matt Pallett said. “It is too bad we couldn’t restart the round. We are playing a lot better now. The guys did do a nice job of gaining some ground on the other teams even though we only had to finish a few holes.”
