MUSKEGON — Under the bright lights at historic Marsh Field, the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders defeated Western Michigan Christian 11-5 on Friday night.

Bode Zygmuntowski had three hits and scored four runs for the Crusaders (18-4-1). Bryan Convertini had three hits and four RBI and Dewey Modaff, the winning pitcher, had three hits and three RBI.

The Crusaders played error-free baseball, led by third baseman Croix Klng, who made several big plays in the field.

WMC was led by Sam Sipe, Jonathan Clausing and Alex Wagenmaker with two hits each. Nate Clausing had a bases-clearing double in the third inning that tied the game at 5-all.

Sipe took the loss on the mound for WMC, which plays Covenant Christian on Monday.
