MUSKEGON — The Mona Shores Sailors had their way with the Muskegon Big Reds in a baseball doubleheader on Tuesday.

The Sailors won the first game 35-0 and the second game, 34-0. Both games lasted three innings.

In the opener, Jaxon Hoffman allowed one hit on the mound. At the plate, he had three hits, including his record-breaking 10th home run of the season. That total is a school record.

Shores had 21 hits in the game. Isaac Habetler and Jaden Thomas had three hits and three RBI each. Zack Keessen had four RBI. Brady Recknagel had three RBI.

In the second game, Trevor Cunningham had a perfect three innings of work and struck out seven.

Shores had 23 hits in the game. Bryson Belanger had four hits, five RBI and scored four runs. Thomas had three hits and four RBI. Jaden Ammeraal had three hits, scored four runs and knocked in two runs.

The Sailors improve to 22-7 overall, 15-5 in conference play.
