The North Muskegon Norse took care of business on the softball diamond on Friday by sweeping the Hart Pirates.

North Muskegon won the first game, 12-1, and the nightcap, 6-4.

The Norse pulled away in the opener with five runs in the sixth inning. Baila Lang, Audrey Brown, Mattie Houseman and Lucy Fricke each knocked in runs in that pivotal innings. Fricke, Lidia Carty, Madison Balon and Brown all had two hits.

Balon was the winning pitcher. She allowed one run on six hits.  She struck out 10 and did not walk a batter.

Kelsey Copenhaver was the losing pitcher for Hart.
 
In the second game, Rylee Cooper, Lang and Mila Vantol each had a pair of hits.
 
Balon went the first five innings before giving way to Mattie Houseman, pitched the final two innings.
 
North Muskegon (16-0, 8-4) takes on Covenant Christian on Monday.
