SHELBY — North Muskegon’s girls soccer team scored three second-half goals to pull away for a 5-0 victory over Shelby in the West Michigan Conference Monday.

The game was played at Shelby and was the Norsemen’s eighth straight win. The result snapped the Tigers’ modest two-game winning streak.

Natalie Panucci cracked the scoring column 13 minutes into the game and notched her second just two minutes later.

Six minutes into the second half, Alex Johnson made it 3-0 for the Norsemen.

Just one minute later, the Norsemen scored again with Sam Johnson doing the honors.

The Norsemen put a capper on the scoring after another minute had elapsed with Emmy Creed finding the back of the net.

North Muskegon bumped its record to 10-3-1 on the season and hosts Ludington on Thursday.

Shelby dropped to 7-8-1 on the season and hosts Montague on Wednesday.
