MUSKEGON — The North Muskegon Norsemen wrapped up the league title in the West Michigan Conference Rivers Division with a victory on Thursday in the league’s final golf jamboree.
The meet was played at Bent Pine Course.
North Muskegon shot a 168, which was 16 shots better than runner-up Mason County Central’s 184. Third place was Hart with 193, followed by Ravenna (199), Holton (211), Shelby (212) and Hesperia (238).
The final league standings after seven jamborees were: 1, North Muskegon; 2, Ravenna; 3, Mason County Central; 4, Holton; 5, Hart; 6, Shelby; 7, Hesperia.
On Thursday, Shelby was led by Carson Claeys with a 47. Mason Garcia shot a 53, followed by Bishop Lee and Ignacio Ortiz with 56 each. Claeys was named all-conference and Garcia was honorable mention all-conference.
