MUSKEGON — Orchard View snapped a three-game losing streak Monday afternoon by beating Hart’s girls soccer team 3-1 in a West Michigan Conference game at OV.

The Pirates scored first when Sandy Salgado found the back of the net two minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. They would not score again.

It was all Orchard View after that.

The Cardinals took the lead 2-1 one minute and 17 seconds into the second half (no scorer was given) with an assist from Audrie Letherby.

A little less than halfway through the second half, at the 26:38 mark when Edeline Fernandez buried a shot.

Brooklyn Gould, Payten Bleich and Aubrien Coleman were solid on defense.

Orchard View improved to 2-6-3 on the season and returns to action Wednesday at Ravenna.

Hart saw its losing streak extended to six straight games and fell to 2-10-4 on the season. The Pirates’ next game is Wednesday at Muskegon.
