Pentwater boys take second at Division 4 regional track meet

BRETHREN–The Pentwater Falcons’ boys track team is heading to the state finals after a second-place finish at the Division 4 regionals on Saturday.

The meet was at Brethren High School.

Wyoming Potters House claimed the title after amassing 182 points. Pentwater finished with 79 points while another West Michigan D League foe, Mason County Eastern, ended up in third place with 73 points.

Other team scores included: Onekama (56), Western Michigan Christian (46), Manistee Catholic (43), Brethren (36), Fruitport Calvary Christian (28), Muskegon Catholic Central (19), Muskegon Heights (18), Hesperia (18), Holton (16), Libertas Christian (9), Baldwin (8) and Walkerville (2)

Top local individual performances included:

100 Meters – Kaleb Brown, Pentwater (2nd); Bryce Billings, Hesperia (4th); Seojin Yeo, WMC (5th); Mason Perski, MCE (7th) and Dakota Matzen, MCE (8th)

200 Meters – Lane Rood, Pentwater (3rd); Bryce Billings, Hesperia (4th); Seojin Yeo, WMC (6th); Dakota Matzen, MCE (7th) and Mason Perski, MCE (8th)

400 Meters – Kaleb Brown, Pentwater (1st); Bradley Richards, FCC (2nd); Lane Rood, Pentwater (3rd); Quin McKenna MCC (5th); Martin Fetterhoff, Walkerville (7th) and Zeotae De La Paz, Walkerville (9th)
