TWIN LAKE–Two area golfers qualified for their Division 4 golf state meet after their performances on Tuesday at regionals.

Pentwater’s Elias Marjasalo and Kolenda both qualified in the 90-degreee heat at Stonegate Golf Club in Twin Lake.

No area teams qualified from the meet.

Both Kolenda and Marjasalo finished the day shooting rounds of 86, which was good for a seventh-place tie.

Grandville Calvin Christian won the regional title with a 334. They were followed by McBain Northern Michigan Christian with a 344 and Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian finished in third place at 368.

The Pentwater Falcons finished fourth at 370, who strokes behind Tri-Unity. Western Michigan Christian was fifth with a round of 371. Other local team scores included Muskegon Catholic Central with a ninth-place finish (411), Holton with a 12th-place finish (446) and Hesperia in 15th place at (513).

Holton: Tanner Steffens (93), Rylee Pierce (113), Tuff Scott (117), Anthony Beattie (123) and Teagan Bayne (146)

Hesperia: Taylor Ackerberg (120), Eli Edens (121), Alex Scott (135), Evan Fuentes (137) and Logan Kammer (146)
