MUSKEGON — The Ravenna Bulldogs are the Tier 1 champions in the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association softball tournament.

It was the second straight Tier 1 title for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs had a solid day on the diamond with a 13-2 victory over Holton, a 19-0 victory over Mona Shores and, in the title game, defeated Oakridge 13-2.

In the opening game, Riley Homoly was the winning pitcher. She gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out four.

Addison Gillard and Kendra Denhof were the leading hitters with three each. Emma Herremans had two extra base hits, a triple and a double. Kara Postema had two hits, one a double and Emily Postema had two hits.

In the victory over Mona Shores, Addison Gillard was the winning pitcher. She allowed two hits and struck out four. Herremans hit for the cycle with a home run, triple, double and a single. Addison Gillard had three hits, two of which were doubles. Macy Nelson chipped in with a pair of doubles and Emma Gillard had two singles. Postema added three hits, including a triple and a double.

In the championship game, Emma Gillard was Ravenna’s winning pitcher. She allowed two runs on four hits. She walked two and struck out five. Emma Gillard had three hits, including a home run and a double. Herremans had another multi-hit game with a double and a single. Kara Postema and Ellie Solem each had a double and a single. Postema and Kendra Denhof each had two hits.
