Self leads Grant in softball doubleheader split with Chippewa Hills

 

GRANT — Grant’s Taylor Self had a day at the plate on Friday and helped the Tigers split a softball doubleheader with Chippewa Hills.

 

In the opener, in which Grant won 11-0, Self had two hits, both triples, and knocked in four runs. In the nightcap, she added another triple and a single, however, the Tigers lost 8-5.

 

Emma Bliss was the winning pitcher in the opener with seven strikeouts.

 

Jayci Hance had two hits, including a double, and two RBI for Grant.

 

In the second game, Reese Gragg had a home run and two RBI for the Tigers. Errors caused issues for the Tigers once again.

 

Bliss took the loss on the mound. She had seven strikeouts.
