ALLENDALE–The Spring Lake Lakers girls track team fell just short of claiming the Division 2 regional title on Thursday.
The Lakers finished second with 99 points in the meet at Allendale High School.
Hudsonville Unity Christian captured the title with 105.75 points. Allendale took the third spot with 80 points.
Rounding out the team scoring were: Hamilton (75.75), Whitehall (72), Coopersville (49), Holland Christian (48.75), Hopkins (43), Fruitport (25), Tri-County (14), Fremont (14), Oakridge (11), Newaygo (11), Grant (9.75) and Orchard View (5).
