Spring Lake girls track dealt first loss of league season against Unity Christian

HUDSONVILLE — The battle for first place in the OK-Blue girls track standings didn’t go so well for the Spring Lake Lakers on Tuesday.

In a battle of unbeatens, Hudsonville Unity Christian posted an 80-57 victory over Spring Lake, which finished the league slate with a 5-1 record heading into the conference championship.

First-place finishers for Spring Lake:

100-meter: Meghan Guczwa

200-meter: Reese Cooper (28.72).

800-meter: Kyla Meyers

1600-meter: Lily Parker (5:17.89)

3200-meter: Lily Parker.

Pole vault: Catherine Vandergriff.

4 x 400-meter relay: Giselle Cossey, Addi Tober, Meyers, Guczwa

4 x 800-meter relay: Meyers, Katie Riemersma, Sophie Van Ittersum, Parker
