HAMILTON — The Spring Lake Lakers got a solid pitching performance from Ryan Grimm in their 5-3 victory over the Hamilton Hawkeyes on Thursday.

The game was the third of the three-game series this week between the OK-Blue foes.

Grimm allowed three runs on eight eights and one walk.

Hamilton led 1-0 until the top of the fifth when Spring Lake’s Jaden Core singled to plate the tying run. Derrick Paggeot’s two-run homer in the sixth made it 3-1. Spring Lake added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh for a 5-1 lead. The Hawkeyes scored two in the bottom of the seventh.

Paggeot finished the game with three RBI.

Spring Lake (14-8, 9-6) will host Caledonia at 4:30 Monday in a single game. Hamilton is now 13-8, 8-7.
