LAKEVIEW — The White Cloud Indians earned two victories on Wednesday on their trip over to Lakeview.

The Indians won the opener, 1-0, and the nightcap, 11-2.

Jayson Ruether pitched a complete game in the opener for the Indians. He struck out six, walked one, allowed three hits and no runs.

The offense was led by Reece Hewitt with a double and two walks. Hewitt scored the game’s only run in the seventh inning on a wild pitch.

In the nightcap, Christian Ringler led the way with three hits, five RBI and two runs scored. KJ Strait, Mason Ruether, Alex Cruzan and Nolan Wawczyk each had two hits. Landyn McGowen contributed a two-run double.

McGowen was the winning pitcher for White Cloud. In 2 2/3 innings of work, he allowed five hits and two earned runs. Mason Ruether came on in relief and struck out eight, allowed one hit and no runs.

White Cloud is 11-6-1 and will take on Hart on Thursday.
