HAMILTON — After dropping a tight 3-2 decision to Oakland Christian, the Whitehall Vikings unleashed a 17-hit attack in the second game, which resulted in a 16-5 victory over Greenville.

The games were part of the Hamilton Baseball Tournament on Saturday.

In the opener, Isaac VanAmberg had two hits to lead Whitehall. Pitcher Ryne Christiansen went the distance and allowed no earned runs, four walks and struck out nine.

In the victory over Greenville, Whitehall had seven players get at least two hits.

Christiansen and VanAmberg each had three hits to lead the way. Christiansen had three RBI and VanAmberg scored three runs.

Landon Howe had two hits, including a home run, and knocked in four runs. Nolan Taranko had two hits and two RBI, Noah Meinert’s two hits included a triple and Kyle Stratton had a double and a single. Jaden Brinkert added two hits.
