BIG RAPIDS–The golf season ended for six area teams on Tuesday in the Division 2 regional meet at Katke Golf Club in Big Rapids.
Spring Lake finished in sixth place with a round of 338. Whitehall came in eighth place at 343. Fruitport finished in 12th place at 357 and Ludington shot a 359 for 13th. Fremont finished 14th at 372. Orchard View did not have a complete team with just three golfers.
Ada Forest Hills Eastern won the regional title at 316 while Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central came in second place at 322. Big Rapids took the third spot with a 324.
Top local individual performances included:
Spring Lake: Max Brown and Kody Vis (79), Avery Anderson (89), Reece Horton (91) and Max Witherell (92)
Whitehall: Landon Griffin (82), Corbin VanderStelt (85), Brady Tate (87), Liam Szegda (89) and Braedon Bond (102)
Fruitport: Ryan Sloan (81), Chaseton Sullivan (90), Andres Cribley- Cotto and Macen Benderman (93) and Hayden Winskas (95)
Ludington: Alec Rodenbeck (83), Reece Ward (86), Nate Wagner (93), Ryan Millspaugh (97) and Trey Forfinski (101)
Fremont: Killian Prewitt and Alex Kortge (90), Sam Content (92) and Jake Welsh (100)
Orchard View: Ethan Hodges (87), Trenton Hanks (104 and Josh Cherry (135)
