MONTAGUE — Manistee’s soccer season ended Wednesday night with a 6-0 loss to Montague in the Division 3 district tournament.

The game was played in Montague.

Ava Pelton scored three goals to lead Montague. The Wildcats other goals were scored by Lilly Rice, Peyton Johnson and Braylyn Bultema.

After starting the season strong and jumping into contention in the West Michigan Conference early, the Chippewas ran into a rough patch against the top teams and fell back.

It got a little choppy for the Chippewas after that and they went 4-4-1 and finished 10-5-2 on the season.

The Wildcats improved their record to 11-5-0 on the season and next play Newaygo in the district championship game at 5 p.m. in Newaygo.
