MUSKEGON — Muskegon Catholic Central defeated Western Michigan Christian, 14-1, to win the Division 4 district baseball championship Saturday at WMC’s field.

Jacob Lyonnais pitched a complete game to earn the win for the Crusaders, allowing four hits over six innings.
 
Bryan Convertini, Dewey Modaff, Croix Klint and Owen Lyonnais each had three hits to lead the Crusaders offensive attack. Braden Gustin chipped in with two hits, and Modaff knocked in four runs.
 
Jonathan Causing had two hits to lead WMC.
 
The Crusaders earned a close 6-4 decision over Holton in the semifinals earlier Saturday.
 
In the second semifinal game of the day, Western Michigan Christian earned an 8-0 win over Montabella.
 
Sam Sipe was lights out on the mound striking out a season high 13 hitters while only giving up two hits to earn the win.
 
Quint Menefee led the Warriors with two hits, two runs scored, one RBI and three stolen bases. Jonathan Clausing had a pair of hits along with two RBI. Alex Wagenmaker added two hits and a run scored. Caleb McKay drove in two runs and also scored a run. 
 
WMC closed out its season with a 10-15 record, while the Holton Red Devils were 3-32.
 
Now 29-7-2 on the season, the Crusaders advance to the regional tournament Wednesday at WMC Wednesday where they face two-time district champion Bear Lake (13-6) in the semifinals.
