ADA–The Whitehall boys track team capped off a successful track season with a fourth-place finish at the MHSAA Division 2 track meet.

Saturday’s meet was at Forest Hills Eastern High School in Ada.

Whitehall finished with 33 points. Other area team scores included Spring Lake which came in 13th place with 16 points. Fremont finished 31st with six points and Ludington came in 38th place with five points.

Corunna took home the title with 41 while Mason and Forest Hills Eastern tied for second with 35 points.

Whitehall junior Trannon Aylor took home the title in the 400 meters with a time of 48.83. He then finished eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.03. 

Fremont senior Gary Springstead finished in seventh place in the 400 meters with a time of 50.39 while Spring Lake senior Caden Kyser came in ninth place with a time of 50.68.

Spring Lake junior Jackson Gee came in seventh in the 200 meters with a time of 22.56. 

Fremont junior Sean Pettis came in fifth place in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:17.05

Spring Lake senior Jaxson Tober finished second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 39.53 while Daniel Romero from Fremont came in ninth place with a time of 40.55.

The Orchard View 4 x 100 relay team came in ninth place with a time of 43.67. The team consisted of Christopher Pimpleton Jr., Stephon Oaks, Alex Theile and Camron Reese.

The Spring Lake 4 x 200 relay team came in third place with a time of 1:28.77. The team consisted of Jackson Gee, Jaxson Tober, Tanner Guczwa and Caden Kyser. Whitehall came in ninth place with a time of 1:30.54. The team was Trannon Aylor, Lukas Palmer, Corbin Vanderstelt and Malcolm Earvin.

The Whitehall 4 x 400 relay had a third-place finish with a time of 3:25.57. The team consisted of Lukas Palmer, Jack Houtteman, Malcolm Earvin and Trannon Aylor.

Whitehall sophomore Camden Thompson came in second place in the high jump with a leap of 6-7.

Whitehall senior David Conrad took second place in the pole vault with a jump of 14-1 while Ludington senior Trey Forfinsi came in fourth place at 13-7.

In the girls’ division, the Whitehall Vikings were the top local team finishing in 18th place with 14 points. Spring Lake came in 32nd place with nine points. 

East Grand Rapids won the title with 50 points. They were followed by Sturgis with 34 points and Mason, New Boston Huron and Otsego all tied for third place with 26 points.

Whitehall senior Maelie Hope had a big day as she finished in second place in the discus with a toss of 133′-1. She also came in fifth place in the shot put with a toss of 38-6. She finished in seventh place in the 100 meters with a time of 12.37.

Spring Lake junior Kyla Meyers came in eighth place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.68

Spring Lake senior Lily Parker finished her career with a seventh-place finish in the 3200 meters with a time of 11:19.54.

The Spring Lake 4 x 800 relay team finished in third place with a time of 9:34.68. The team consisted of Kyla Meyers. Sophie VanIttersum, Lilly Parker and Meghan Guczwa.
