MUSKEGON – The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team went off with a routing 81-19 victory against Grand Rapids Union on Wednesday.

Nine out of 11 players recorded points on the night and everyone was able to put in some minutes on the floor for the OK-Green win.

The Rockets fired off a 43-14 scoring run after two quarters and forced the game into a running clock.

“It was good to play after eight days without a game,” said Reeths-Puffer coach Nathan Aardema. 

Travis Ambrose had yet another strong showing with 21 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Jaxson Whitaker poured in 18 points, made five assists and grabbed four rebounds, while Brayden Mitchelson added 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Marvin Moore chipped in eight points and Antrel Jones had seven points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Reeths-Puffer (9-1, 3-0) will travel to Wyoming on Friday for more league play.
