SHELBY – On Senior Night, Shelby’s boys basketball team posted a lopsided victory over Holton, 55-19 on Tuesday.
The Tigers dominated the boards, leading to plenty of second chance opportunities and keeping Holton off the scoreboard. The Tigers scored 38 points between the second and third quarter to firmly put them on top.
Phillip Hayes led Shelby with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists while Trey Waller, Wyatt Dickman and Trevor Fitzgerald each had 10 points.
Shelby (4-17, 2-10 WMC Rivers) will finish off their season with a trip to Orchard View on Friday. The Tigers will rematch with Holton (0-12, 2-20 WMC Rivers) on Monday for the first round of districts.
