MARION – The Holton Red Devils were in cruise control from start to finish on Friday and captured the Division 4 district softball crown in Division 4.

In the opener, the Red Devils defeated host Marion 20-1 in three innings. In the title game, Holton blanked White Cloud, 10-0, in five innings. White Cloud defeated Pentwater 20-0 in three innings in the other semifinal game.

Every starter had a hit in the opener, led by Kenzie Greene with a home run, a double and five RBI and Ryann Robins with three hits, including a triple and a double. Aubrey Goyings and Grace Thompsen each had a double and a single. Lexi Bartolameolli had a double.

Greene was the winning pitcher in the first game.

In the title game, Robins was dealing on the mound with a no-hitter and nine strikeouts.

Abbie Fowler had three hits, all triples. Robins belted a home run. Thompsen and Chloe McKee each had two hits.

Holton (25-12-1) travels to Frankfort next Saturday to play the winner of the Bellaire district.
