Ravenna softball splits against Grand Haven and Allendale

GRAND HAVEN – The Ravenna softball team went 1-1 against Allendale and Grand Haven on Saturday.

The Bulldogs cruised past Allendale, 16-1, but fell to host Grand Haven, 10-2.

Addison Gillard gave up two hits, one run, one walk and struck out four batters in Ravenna’s win over Allendale.

Gillard led at bat with three hits, including a home run. Emily Postema added three hits, while Riley Homoly had a double and a single. Sydney Morrissey and Natalie Rosel contributed two hits apiece.

Reese Herremans, Kendra Denhof, Raelyn Olsen, Taylor Nutt and Macy Nelson each had a hit.

Against Grand Haven, Rosel struck out three but allowed eight hits, six runs and two walks. Gillard gave up four hits, four runs, three walks and struck out six in relief.

Morrisey and Rosel collected two hits and one hit, respectively.

Ravenna next hosts Newaygo on Friday.
