FRUITPORT – The Western Michigan Christian girls’ soccer team topped Fruitport, 4-1, in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday.

The Warriors controlled possession early and pressured the Trojans’ backline to set the tone.

“I thought it was a very good performance from the girls,” said WMC coach Jared McFarland. “We have been working on our attack movement and being confident and dangerous in front of the goal. I thought we did exactly that.”

Nora Pollock led the Warriors with a pair of goals, while Emersyn Paling and Nadia Burr had a goal apiece.

Brooklyn Watts and Brynn Evans were credited with strong play.

WMC (7-1-1, 1-1) will travel to Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy on Friday for an Alliance League match.

Fruitport (4-8-2, 0-6-1) will be at Montague on Friday.
