FREMONT – The Whitehall softball team bagged two wins over Fremont in a West Michigan Conference twin bill on Wednesday.
The Vikings topped the Packers, 7-2 and 10-8.
In Game 1, Megan Leatrea gave up six hits, two runs and a walk for the Vikings, while Alison Schaeffer allowed a hit and struck out one.
Kierra Hynes had three hits, scored two runs and three RBI. Lianna Fagan chipped in two hits, two runs and an RBI, while Janie Fagan had two hits and an RBI. Bella Fogus contributed two hits and two RBI. Annabel Kevwitch had a hit and scored a run.
Leatrea gave up eight hits, eight runs and struck out two batters in the nightcap.
Taylor Ottinger had three hits, two runs and three RBI. Darke collected three hits, two runs and two RBI, while Leatrea had three hits, one run and two RBI. Lianna had two hits and a run. Fogus had a hit and scored a pair of runs.
Whitehall (13-16-1) will be at Mason County Central on Thursday.
Fremont travels to Holland Christian on Friday.
