The Ravenna softball team dominated district play on Saturday to hoist a Division 3 district trophy.

The Bulldogs cruised to a 14-3 win over North Muskegon in the semifinal contest, then blanked Kent City 17-0 to earn the district title.

Addison Gillard earned the semifinal win for Ravenna, allowing three runs on five hits ,while striking out nine batters.

Emily Postema and Reese Herremans led the Bulldogs with three hits each ,while Natalie Rosel and Sydney Morrissey each added two hits.

Taylor Nutt, Riley Homoly, Gillard and Kendra Denhof chipped in with a hit apiece for Ravenna.

It only took three innings to claim the title in the second contest, as Rosel pitched three perfect frames, striking out seven batters.

Nutt, Denhof, and Postema each had two hits to lead Ravenna, while Herremans, Gillard, Homoly and Rosel all added one hit.

The Bulldogs will face Kalamazoo Christian on Saturday in regional play at Coloma High School.
