CLARE – The Fremont girls’ soccer team’s run came to a tough end in the Division 3 regional semifinal on Thursday.

The Packers were shut out by Freeland 2-0.

The action was back-and-forth in the opening half and both teams had some opportunities. The game was scoreless at the halftime break.

Freeland came out of the break and turned up the heat on the Packers with back-to-back goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half. 

The Packers were outshot 12-2.

Fremont wrapped up the season with a district title and a record of 16-5-1.
