FREMONT – The Fremont boys soccer team fell to visiting Hastings 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon.
Hastings took a 2-0 lead within the first 15 minutes, but the Packers managed to answer and go into halftime tied, 2-2.
The teams battled into the second half, but Hastings netted the go-ahead goal with 25 minutes left for what proved to be the game-winning goal.
The Packers were outshot, 13-7.
Deagan Klimek and Joey Mansfield each had a goal and an assist for Fremont, which scored its goals four minutes apart.
Goalkeeper Caleb Vissia made 10 saves.
Fremont (1-2) will travel to Big Rapids on Monday.
