BIG RAPIDS – A second-half trick by Joey Mansfield sparked the Fremont boys soccer team to a 5-3 victory over Big Rapids on Monday.
Deagan Klimek put the Packers on the board just two minutes into the game, but Big Rapids fired off three unanswered goals to take the lead into the half.
Joe Welsh added the other score in the second half for the Packers. Klimek had two assists and Hudson Wiersema added one for the Packers.
The Packers outshot Big Rapids, 14-7.
Goalkeeper Caleb Vissia made four saves.
Fremont (2-2) will host Oakridge on Wednesday in a West Michigan Conference matchup.
