MONTAGUE – The Fremont volleyball team was victorious in a nail biting five-set win against West Michigan Conference opponent Montague on Tuesday.

The Packers managed to dash the Wildcat comeback after being up by two sets with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 13-25, 23-25 and 15-10.

The Packers’ Mia Clemence had 13 kills, four aces, 17 digs and a block. Averi Zimmer had 10 kills and a block, while Taylor DeKuiper chipped in nine kills and three blocks. Brynna Barnhart scored three aces and made 35 assists. Grace Evans and Cece Crisman had 28 and 15 digs, respectively.

The Wildcat’s Maizie Collins had 15 kills for the offense. Emalee McGee had eight kills and scored three aces, while Jaelyn Sundberg made 28 assists and 25 digs. Jordan Netcott contributed three aces and 24 digs. 

Reagan Cederquist had six kills and Ava Pumford had five kills.

Fremont will be at the Saranac Pink Invitational on Saturday.

Montague visits Orchard View on Tuesday.
