WHITEHALL — Ludington traveled to Whitehall for a West Michigan Conference dual Tuesday night and rallied for a 3-1 victory to snap an eight-match losing streak.

The Orioles dropped the first set, 18-25, and then the next three, 25-19, 25-22, 25-16 for just their second win in 10 matches this season.

“After a rocky first set, the girls started being aggressive and weren’t letting balls hit the floor,” said Orioles head coach Liz Holden. “Our serving game was much better tonight and the girls started communicating much better.

“We are working really hard on our defensive game right now and I think it’s starting to show! They needed this win to build a bit of confidence and worked hard to get it.”

Jordyn Anderson finished with 25 assists, eight digs, five kills, three aces and four blocks. Jaelyn Laired had 12 kills and five digs. Saviera Moser had 19 digs. Isabel Ramirez had eight digs and Kaia Jones had seven. Mackenzie Wright finished with eight digs. Madilyn Lynn had eight blocks. Lilly had nine kills and seven digs.
