HOLTON — Mason County Central traveled to Holton for a West Michigan Conference Rivers Division match Tuesday night and swept the Red Devils, 3-0 for its first conference win.
 
The Spartans won by set scores of 25-15, 25-7, 25-14.
 
Alayna Rafter was a team leader who went 35/26 in sets with 11 assists, and 15/16 serving with 2 aces.
 
Tori Dunblazier leading in attacks (21/24 with 10 kills) and serving (10/13 with 6 aces). Ellie Bendele was 13/16 in attacks with 5 kills, 7/8 on serve receive and 14/15 for serves with 2 aces.
 
“Our back row held strong, with senior Mikayla McVicker with 7/7 on serve receive,” said Spartans coach Erin O’Hara. “Juniors Tori Smith and Payton Cory helped hold our back court.”
 
Mason County (4-2-3, 1-0 WMC Rivers) host Brethren in non-conference play Thursday.
