A total of 10 high school football teams in the Local Sports Journal’s coverage area earned spots in this week’s MHSAA playoffs.
Based on playoff points, Mona Shores, Mason County Central, Newaygo and North Muskegon will host first-round games. After the first-round games, the team with the highest playoff point total will host the district final game.
The 10 area teams, competing in nine games all begin their playoff run at 7 p.m. Friday. Montague travels to Newaygo in the only game involving two area teams.
